Running Evolution has celebrated its first anniversary!
The idea of Running Evolution is something I've contemplated for a while. I enjoy sharing my expertise and passion with others. The most rewarding part is seeing individuals grow through running, discovering a new passion, staying healthy, and achieving goals they once thought were unattainable.
With my expertise as a Musculoskeletal and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach, and Australian Athletics level 3 Performance Coach, Running Evolution transformed from a concept to reality in 2024.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who has trusted me to help them reach their 5km personal best, complete their first half marathon, first marathon, or pursue any goal they envisioned. Without you, Running Evolution wouldn't have reached its first anniversary - thank you.
To celebrate this milestone, we were fortunate to acquire beautiful artwork by Brad Hore. His artwork is featured on a limited edition running singlet and running buff. If you're afraid of missing out, get in touch to place an order. The art symbolizes how running is a community coming together and belonging as a team. Our footsteps and emu prints guiding us to move forwards not backwards, the boomerangs always returning to where it all began. Everyon is a part of team leaving their identity.

More about the artist
We met Brad during his journey as a corporate runner for the Indigenous Marathon Foundation, leading to the New York Marathon. Brad is an extraordinary individual, a two-time Olympic and Commonwealth Games Boxer, and a Dunghutti man. Art became an outlet during COVID-19 and a way to connect to country. He does remarkable work with the Australian Sports Commission as a motivational speaker and Indigenous Olympic Advisor. Olympic fans might recognize his work from the France Olympics 2024, where his art of the yarning circle was featured at Australia's athletes' village. His commitment and dedication is inspiring, and we hope this artwork encourages you to pursue your dreams.

We're starting the year by supporting the #takebackthetrack movement. Sissy Austin, the incredible woman behind this initiative, was unfortunately attacked while running on country, an activity that brought her peace. This strong woman hasn't let this stop her from doing what she loves. Take Back The Track is driven by a love of running, not a fear of running. Although we're an online platform and couldn't host an event, we supported a local event in Darwin organized by the Darwin Deadlies. We support this cause because of our passion for running and because, as a female runner and coach to many women, we shouldn't have to fear for our safety or endure abuse while running. Whether in daylight, dusk, or night, no one should have to face this! We have a small gift for our athletes in support of this movement and will get it to you (typical of Darwin postage - it's still on its way).

Looking forward to the year ahead, Running Evolution is preparing for 10 half marathons and 16 marathons. Bring on the sweat, tears, and hard work to enjoy the rewards and that joy of crossing the finish line.
